The Supreme Judicial Council announced, on Thursday the death penalty sentence against 13 terrorists who planned attacks in Ramadan month 2019.
SJC stated in a statement received by Iraqi News Agency (INA), that Karkh Criminal Court / the third panel issued a death sentence in accordance with the provisions of Articles II number 1, 3 and 7 and in accordance with Article IV/1 of the Anti-Terrorism Law of 2005 against 13 convicts for
the crime of affiliation to ISIS terrorist gangs.
The statement also mentioned that the terrorists admitted their intention to carry out terrorist operations during the month of Ramadan in 2019,
noting that the court saw a record of ISIS that includes the terrorists named, in addition to their possession of weapons, fake identities and forged seals which were seized by the security forces.
