Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Iraq won a membership in the Board of Directors of the International Labor Organization – ILO.
"This came as an alternate member for the period (2021-2024)," said the ministry's spokesman, Ahmed Al-Sahaf in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
“After receiving support from the majority of the member states in the organization, during the elections that took place virtually on the sidelines of the 109th session of the International Labor Conference for this day, in Geneva, it was due to the position it enjoys within the organization and its board of directors and constructive contributions in relevant meetings,” included Al-Sahaf.
