Joint Operations Command announced on Monday, new tactics to detect crimes in Baghdad, while indicating that it has a high ability to track where missiles were launched.

"The security forces have very high capabilities in tracking the locations of the missiles launched, through the CCTVs deployed in Baghdad Operations Command and at its borders," said the spokesman for Joint Operations Command, Major General Tahseen al-Khafaji, to Iraqi News Agency (INA).

"We have surveillance planes that operate 24/7, and there is a technical and engineering effort working on the electromagnetic spectrum of communications to analyze matters. Many crimes in Baghdad have been detected through this new tactical effort,” added al-Khafaji.

In terms of news about US-Led international coalition intention to bomb sites in Iraq, Al-Khafaji confirmed that "the meeting of the Supreme Technical Committee between Iraq and the United States stressed respect for Iraq's sovereignty,"

“The talk about the intention is inaccurate and contrary to what was confirmed in the meeting, in which there must respect the sovereignty of Iraq,” he included.
