CAA takes 3 measures regarding the accident of the Iraqi plane coming from Dubai

The Civil Aviation Authority took today, Thursday, three measures regarding an Iraqi plane coming from Dubai that had an accident. 

The aviation authority said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "the Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority would like to clarify to the public opinion the circumstances of the arrival of the Iraqi plane from Dubai with the call to IAW124 and registration YI-ASV to Gate D46 of the Nineveh building, in which a case of withdrawal of one of the signs placed in The aircraft parking yard to the engine No. 2 due to its wrong position by the MASIL company responsible for providing ground services at Baghdad International Airport, explaining that “the plane was towed to the maintenance den without notifying the Operations Division or the Air Safety Department, that is, after 24 hours This is clearly a second violation by the captain and the engineer in charge. " 

they pointed out that according to this, “The Air Safety Department at the Civil Aviation Authority has taken several measures, the most important of which is to notify the Director of Quality Assurance in the Iraqi Airways Company to suspend the pilot and the engineer responsible for work until the investigation is completed, and to summon the pilot and engineer referred to above to come to the Air Safety Department on the day of Sunday 23/5/2021, for the purpose of investigating them duly, and informing MASIL of the necessity to submit a report of the accident to the Air Safety Department no later than on the Sunday referred to above.
