Baghdad - INA -
Advisor to the Prime Minister for Elections Affairs, Abdul-Hussein Al-Hindawi, confirmed today, Tuesday, that there is a need for a special system that organizes the political money file.
Al-Hindawi told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “The concept of political money is an ambiguous concept, and therefore it is assumed that there will be a special system for the Election Commission to organize this issue,” pointing out that “the political parties law includes some special paragraphs and general principles in this regard, but There is a need for a system specific to this area that will be detailed by the commission. "
He explained that "the parties in countries around the world, including America, have their own channels and funds, but there is transparency in announcing the sources of funding and their electoral campaigns, and there is information about them such as the car and cigarette companies affiliated with them for financing in an open and not secret manner."
