Biden expresses his support for the Palestinian people

The US President Joe Biden expressed today, Sunday, his support for the steps that enable the Palestinian people to enjoy security and dignity, while affirming his commitment to the two-state solution because it is the best way to reach a just and lasting solution .

According to a statement followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), "Biden spoke with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas to express the US commitment to strengthening the American-Palestinian partnership."

The two presidents discussed the issue of tensions in Jerusalem and the West Bank, and expressed their common desire for Jerusalem to be a place for peaceful coexistence between people of all religions and backgrounds .

Biden briefed President Abbas on US diplomatic engagement on the ongoing conflict .

The two Presidents expressed their shared concern over the tragic death of innocent civilians, including children, amid the ongoing violence .
