Araji discusses with Barzani coordination between the Peshmerga and federal forces

    National Security Adviser Qassem Al-Araji discussed today, Sunday, with the President of the Democratic Party, Massoud Barzani, cooperation and coordination between the Peshmerga forces and the federal forces.

    The media office of the National Security Adviser said, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Al-Araji met with the head of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Massoud Barzani, in Erbil."
     The statement added, "The meeting discussed cooperation and coordination between the Peshmerga forces and the federal forces in confronting terrorism, pursuing ISIS cells and preventing the infiltration of terrorist elements." 

    He added, "They discussed the issue of areas that ISIS exploits to carry out its terrorist operations, and ways to bridge all gaps, to miss the opportunity for terrorist elements and secure areas in a way that guarantees the safety of citizens. 
    The meeting also touched on the importance of working to implement the provisions of the Sinjar Agreement."
