Political analyst Hamza Mustafa told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the main task that was assigned to the government headed by Mustafa Al-Kadhimi is to hold early elections," pointing out that "the government promised this matter by setting the month of June of this year as the date for holding early elections," But for reasons, including related to the inability of the Election Commission to secure all the requirements for holding elections on this date, or most of the political forces saw that the early date would not suit them, and therefore it was decided to extend the date to next October.
He added, "The other aspect that the government has done is to start fighting corruption for the first time in 18 years, as it has put in place the first structure in terms of combating corruption," noting that it "presented the white reform paper in which there may be surgical solutions, even though this matter harmed the classes." The poor and low-income people of the Iraqi people, but every real procedure involves sacrifices, and this is everyone's responsibility, not the government alone. "
