Civil Aviation Authority announced on Saturday, the completion of its procedures for evacuating Iraqis in India.
"Based on the directive of Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi, to evacuate the Iraqis stranded in India, coordination has been made with the Ministries of Health and Foreign Affairs to operate flights for Iraqi Airways to evacuate Iraqi citizens stranded in India and to provide the necessary facilities for their return to the country," according to a statement by the Civil Aviation Authority, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
“There is an ongoing follow-up for the purpose of completing all precautionary and special health measures by the Ministry of Health, through which the first flight for their evacuation will be determined within timings that will be announced via our official websites," included the statement.
The Karbala hall has been prepared at Baghdad International Airport, which will be dedicated to receiving all flights for the return of Iraqis from India to Iraq, taking into account health measures in order to preserve the safety of citizens, according to the statement.
