The Air Force Club concludes its competition journey when it meets Pakhtakor of Uzbekistan today, Thursday, at Sharjah City Stadium, in the sixth and final round of Group B competitions in the AFC Champions League .
Falcon Technical Director Ayoub Odisho assured at the match’s technical conference, which was followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that “it is necessary to present a good level in this match and to appear in the best image that expresses the team’s capabilities,” explaining that “when the team participated in the competition it was hoping to achieve results better, but things did not go as planned, especially after the injuries suffered by the team. "
Odisho added, "Most of our players had experience playing in the AFC Cup, but the level of competition is different in the AFC Champions League. We wanted more than gaining experience. We wanted to compete, but in the end these things happen in football. We gained valuable experience that will be useful for the future. "
Odisho continued, "When we see other teams looking for the team to sign players, this is an indication of the amount of work we do in developing talent in Pakhtakor, noting that" the technical staff hopes to retain the talented players of the team for a longer period so that they mature and develop and then return to compete next year.
