Zarif: Al-Araji's talks in Tehran were successful

The Iranian Foreign Minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif, confirmed today, Tuesday, that the talks of National Security Adviser Qassem Al-Araji in Tehran were successful. 

The media office of the National Security Adviser said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), "Al-Araji received in his office the Iranian Foreign Minister, Muhammad Javad Zarif." 

The statement added, "The meeting witnessed a review of relations between Iraq and the Islamic Republic of Iran, and means of strengthening them, in a way that serves the interests of the two neighboring countries and peoples."

Zarif stressed, according to the statement, to support "the government and respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Iraq, referring to the depth of the historical relations between Baghdad and Tehran, indicating that the recent discussions of the National Security Adviser, Mr. Qassem Al-Araji, in Tehran were important and successful."
