Ministry of Education revealed on Saturday, its preparations for the start of school attendance scheduled for tomorrow, Sunday.
"The mechanism adopted by the Ministry of Education is a proposal that was presented to the Supreme Committee for Health and Safety, that the attendance be for two days for the first three grades of the primary stage, in addition to the stages of the sixth primary, third intermediate and sixth intermediate," Ministry spokesman Haider Faruq told the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
He added, "The approval of the proposals by the Supreme National Health and Safety Authority came with the aim of providing pupils in three primary grades with an intensive educational material and better opportunities, given that in the past and current year they did not get adequate opportunities as a basic primary stage, which may cause future problems in the educational process of students,”
Faruq explained that "the ministry seeks to preserve the health and safety of students," noting that "the decision was made for the benefit of students and to communicate with the educational process,"
He continued, "Tomorrow, Sunday, is the first day of attendance based education in the second course will start with the same procedures that were followed in the first course of social distancing and sanitizing the classes,"
"There is a supervising body, the National Health and Safety Committee, as well as an evaluation and study of the situation and we may complete the remaining curricula,” Faruq included, explaining that "the ministry previously announced the special adaptation of the curricula of the second course for the unfinished stages, given that the completed stages have been announced to adapt their curricula since the beginning of the school year,"
