Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi and US Ambassador to Iraq Matthew Toler stressed the need for continued security cooperation to counter terrorism.
Al-Halbousi met Toler on Wednesday, and discussed bilateral relations between Iraq and the United States, according to a statement by the media office of the Speaker of Iraqi Parliament, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
During the meeting, both highlighted the strategic dialogue between the two countries, and the importance of continuing to support Iraq in all fields, in a way that contributes to achieving development and stability, as well as discussing a number of issues of common interest.
