The ministry of oil prices rose today, Thursday, in light of hopes that the "OPEC +" group, which will meet today, will decide to continue curbing production in the face of a new rise in Covid-19 infections in some regions.
Brent crude rose 1.1 percent to $ 63.45 a barrel, by 03:26 GMT, after falling 2.2 percent overnight.
US crude increased 1.2 percent to $ 59.87 a barrel, after falling 2.3 percent on Wednesday.
Energy ministers from the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries "OPEC" and its allies, including Russia and Kazakhstan, a group known as "OPEC +", will meet later today to consider options, including an extension of the production cut and a gradual increase in it.
"The most likely outcome of the meeting is that there will be no major changes in production," the company said, "Eurasia Group", in a report on the meeting.
"The caution shown in the OPEC + discussions indicates that any decisions on easing will likely be delayed until next May's meeting,".
Prices were also under pressure as OPEC + reduced its forecast for oil demand growth for the current year by 300,000 barrels per day, making it much more likely that the meeting would result in continuing to curb supplies.
