President Salih receives two telegrams from Iran and Turkey

    President Barham Salih received two congratulatory telegrams from his Iranian and Turkish Presidents Hassan Rouhani and Recep Tayyip Erdogan on the occasion of Nowruz holidays, according to statement by the presidency to Iraqi News Agency - INA.
    The Iranian president’s telegram, said “The distinguished President of the Republic of Iraq, Barham Salih with great pleasure, I congratulate your excellency and the great Iraqi people on the occasion of Nowruz, the spring of nature and the radiance of the year 1400 AH,”
    "Spring, is as a brilliant artist who strikes the brush on a nature painting, brings the spirit of life and freshness to earth, scattering scenes of great elegance, splendor and Nowruz. This season is full of love and good old-fashion that inspires hope, joy and promises to get rid of worries and sorrows. It is an opportunity for renewal, adopt a new vision and start a new life," added Rouhani.
    He expressed his hope that "we humans, in conjunction with the season of the renewal of nature, will be able to sow a new spring in our hearts and shake off the dust of fatigue and apathy, leading to the activity of the soul, thought and the integrity of the body,"
    "During the past year, the world witnessed the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic and was affected by the wide economic and social repercussions," he expressed and said, "by increasing the interaction between our countries and by containing the Corona pandemic, that Nowruz will turn in a new year into a modern era for people and that blessing, safety and calm will return to all countries of the world,"
    The Turkish President’s telegram also included the following,
    "The President of the Republic, my dear brother. After my name and after the name of the Turkish people, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to you and to the friendly and brotherly people of Iraq on the occasion of Nowruz, which symbolizes brotherhood, peace, unity and solidarity by preaching the spring and new beginnings, which is part of our common traditions that is rooted for centuries,"
    "Nowruz, which promotes love, affection and the will to live together in hearts with the soil, will be celebrated with enthusiasm this year as well as every year in a wide geographical area extending from the Balkans to the Middle East, and from Anatolia to Central Asia," he pointed, adding that "In this difficult stage that we are going through due to COVID-19 pandemic, I hope that Nowruz Festival will bring health, peace and tranquility not only to our country and our region, but to all humanity,"
    He continued, "I take this occasion to wish your Excellency health and happiness, prosperity and well-being to the friendly and neighborly people of Iraq"
