The Ministry of Planning confirmed today, Saturday, that allowing or preventing goods from entering the country is under the authority of the Customs Authority.
The head of the Central Bureau of Statistics of the Ministry of Planning, Hussein Ali Daoud, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “Customs is the only authority that prevents the entry of new goods or permits their entry based on government decisions, "indicating that" the Central Agency is an authority for assessing conformity of goods, and its work is concerned with issuing specifications and a judgment in terms of conformity or lack thereof to the concerned authorities. "
