    The South Korean and Chinese national teams achieved today, Thursday, victory during their matches in the Asian qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.

    Saudi Arabia drew 0-0 away to Australia on Thursday at Melbourne Rectangular Stadium in Melbourne, in the fifth round of Group C matches in the third round of the Asian qualifiers - Road to the 2026 World Cup.

    The two teams exchanged offensive attempts during the match, but neither team succeeded in reaching the goal.

    In a second match held in the same group, China beat Bahrain 1-0 on the latter's land, while Indonesia will meet Japan in Jakarta on Friday.
    Japan leads the group standings with 10 points from four matches, compared to 6 points from five matches for Australia, Saudi Arabia and China, 5 for Bahrain, and 3 for Indonesia.

    The Republic of Korea continued to fly at the top of Group 2 after its 3-1 away win over Kuwait at Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium in Al-Ardiya, in the fifth round of Group 2 matches in the third round of the Asian qualifiers - the road to the 2026 World Cup.

    Oh Se-hun (10), Son Heung-min (19 from a penalty kick) and Bae Jun-ho (74) scored the goals for the Republic of Korea, while Mohammed Daham (60) scored the goal for Kuwait.
