Today, Friday, the Ministry of Agriculture announced the preparation of an investment map in some governorates.
The Minister of Agriculture, Muhammad Karim al-Khafaji, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "He formed a committee from the Investment Authority and the Agricultural Lands, Irrigation and Groundwater Departments in the provinces of Najaf, Karbala and Muthanna to prepare an investment map for the existing areas."
Al-Khafaji pointed out that "there are 500 thousand dunums in the Salman area in the Muthanna governorate, and it has a sustainability of water, and there are 700 thousand dunums in the province of Najaf, and it has a sustainability of water, ready for investment," noting that "these projects will be presented to the Council of Ministers for a decision." As it relates to large areas and the contracting process within the national investment opportunities.
