Minister of Health and the Chinese ambassador discussing conducting a third phase of clinical trials for the Corona vaccine

Today, Sunday, Minister of Health and Environment Hassan Al-Tamimi discussed with the Chinese ambassador to Iraq Zhang Tao the conduct of the third phase of clinical trials of the Corona virus vaccine.

The Minister’s Media Office said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that “Minister of Health and Environment Hassan Muhammad Al-Tamimi received the Chinese ambassador to Iraq, Zhang Tao, today, Sunday, September 13, 2020, at the ministry’s headquarters”

The statement added, "The Minister of Health discussed with the Chinese side strengthening cooperation on conducting the third phase of clinical trials of the Covid 19 vaccine."

For his part, the Chinese ambassador expressed "his country's support for all frameworks of cooperation and coordination in the health aspect that would eradicate the Corona virus."
