The President of the Republic, Barham Salih, confirmed today, Tuesday, that the Iraqis are looking forward to a new stage.
A statement by the Presidency of the Republic received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) stated that "President Salih, while receiving the Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Iraq, Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert, indicated that the Iraqis are looking forward to a new phase dominated by security, stability and prosperity," stressing "the importance of the organization's role and efforts in Support the democratic process in the country, especially in the current circumstances in which Iraq seeks to hold early elections in the coming period.
In turn, Plasschaert renewed the support of the International Organization for Iraq and strengthened the work of its institutions, and its continued provision of advice and assistance in a way that achieves the aspirations and hopes of the Iraqis in various fields.
