Ministry of Planning announced the cost of Baghdad Suspended Train Project and the companies implementing the project, while the Governor of Baghdad indicated that the idea of the second phase of the project and the areas through which it will pass.
"A meeting was held with the Ministry of Transport and Baghdad Governorate to finally agree to complete the technical procedures and start transferring the project from the province to the transport, as it is the private sector," said the Minister of Planning Khalid Battal to Iraqi News Agency (INA).
He explained that the project represents a qualitative leap in the transportation services in Baghdad, inviting some investment companies to complete the sectors of the project.
“We will obtain the approval of the Council of Ministers and final approval of it," he added.
The project will provide 10 thousand job opportunities for the people of Baghdad, in addition to job opportunities to operate the project after its completion, Battal noted.
