Arab Org. for Peace and Iraq discuss sustainable development

Minister of Transport Nasser Hussein Al-Shibli discussed with the head of the Arab Organization for Peace and Development, Mashael Al-Ataibi, the communication means between the ministry and the organization for the purpose of benefiting from its expertise and capabilities in achieving sustainable development.

The media office of the Minister of Transport said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), "Al-Shibli listened to a detailed explanation of the goals and plans of the organization on topics related to peace and development, the achievements they achieved and strategic programs with its partners."

The statement added, "Al-Shibli stressed the necessity of preparing a memorandum of understanding between the ministry and the organization for the purpose of building bridges of cooperation and communications to achieve the aspirations of the ministry within its developmental platform in the reality of work."

For its part, Al-Ataibi indicated working on adopting a development model based in its implementation on the young people, building their capabilities and expanding opportunities for them to engage in sustainable development processes.
