Ministry of Health and Environment announced that 50 new cases tested positive for COVID-19.
The ministry’s labs tested 2921 in all the specialized laboratories in Iraq for this day, and thus the total sum of the samples tested since the beginning of the epidemic in Iraq is 143494, according to a statement by the ministry received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
The 50 cases were distributed as follows: Baghdad / Al-Rusafa: 7, Baghdad / Al-Karkh: 10, Medical City: 14, Basra: 13, Maysan: 1 and Sulaimaniyah: 5.
As for the recoveries, it recorded 16 cases distributed as follows: Baghdad / Rusafa: 13, Baghdad / Al-Karkh: 2, Medical City: 6, Basra: 24, Babil: 4, Kirkuk: 5, Muthanna: 5 and Erbil: 2.
The ministry warned that it recorded two death cases in Baghdad / Rusafa.
The statement included that the total number of infected cases is 3193, recoveries: 2089, under-treatment cases: 988 and the total death cases: 117.
