The representative of the Parliament, Hassan Fadd, confirmed that there is a trend among the political forces to choose a military figure to head the next government.
He said support for the Iraqi News Agency , today, Tuesday, that the ongoing dialogues between the political blocs will produce the choice of a military figure to take over the prime minister rather than political figures.
Fadam stressed that "the political blocs agreed on some broad lines during their previous sessions regarding assuming the presidency of the government," noting "the nomination of two security figures for this position more than the nomination of political figures."
He cautioned that "the House of Representatives continues to fulfill all demands for reform, such as seeking early elections, appointing a prime minister, and ratifying the election law."
