Abdul Mahdi confirms Iraq’s pride in cooperative relations with NATO

Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi received a phone call from NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.

According to the statement of the Information Office of the Prime Minister that the Prime Minister expressed his pride in the cooperation relations between Iraq and NATO, the government’s policy and balanced relations, the position of the government and the Iraqi parliament on the presence of foreign forces and the decision to withdraw from Iraq and preserve its sovereignty.

The Secretary-General of NATO stressed the importance of developing existing cooperative relations between Iraq and NATO and the desire to support and train Iraqi security forces and fight Daesh, and the current crisis and security developments were discussed and efforts to avoid war in the region and reduce escalation and defuse the crisis and spare the peoples of the region and the world the repercussions of war.
