The House of Representatives responded to a request by the President of the Republic Dr. Barham Salih to request the identification of the largest number bloc assigned to the Prime Minister.

A book issued by Parliament No. 1338 issued on 10/16/2019 signed by Deputy Speaker Hassan Al-Kaabi and obtained by the Iraqi News Agency that the House of Representatives previously answered in its book No. 2535 issued on 10/2/2018 , On the name of the largest bloc, on the basis of which the resigned Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi was tasked with forming the government.

Salih asked the parliament yesterday to name the largest bloc that nominates the Prime Minister.

Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi submitted his resignation from his position on 4/12/2019 to the parliament in response to the demands of the demonstrators and the religious authority. According to the constitution, the president of the republic must assign the largest bloc to nominate its candidate to fill the position.
