Al-Rafidain Operations Commander, Major-General Jabbar Al- ttaiy, confirmed the information about the dispersal of the demonstrators by force was incorrect.

Al-Al- ttaiy told the Iraqi News Agency: The protest is a right guaranteed by the constitution and that the security services operate within the framework of the state and are a support for the demonstrators.

He continued, The supreme religious authority and the state emphasized the protection and peaceful protection of peaceful demonstrators. He pointed out that broadcasting such allegations aims to widen the gap between the security forces and the demonstrators and split the national ranks, which is a miserable attempt, and that the security forces will remain a support for the demonstrators.
