Integrity: Three years imprisonment for the chairman of Wasit Investment Committee

The Integrity Commission announced the severe imprisonment for three years against the Chairman of the Investment Committee of Wasit.

According to a statement of integrity received by the Iraqi News Agency that the court of misdemeanor Kut competent issues of integrity sentenced the convicted severely imprisoned convicted member of the Wasit Provincial Council Chairman of the Investment Committee for three years, in accordance with the provisions of Article (331) of the Penal Code.

The statement pointed out that the convict violated his duties and held meetings outside his workplace and bargain an investor, in order to give him an investment opportunity, pointing out that he requested an amount of (100,000) US dollars from an investor for the approval of the establishment of a gas station in the city of Kut.
