The Minister of Health confirms the absence of any toxic substance in the tear gas

The Human Rights Committee chaired by MP Arshad al-Salhi  hosted in its presence , Minister of Health Jaafar Allawi, to discuss securing the medical reality of the demonstrators.

A statement issued by the Committee received that Salhi asked several questions to the Minister of Health about the number of martyrs and wounded in government hospitals and civil deaths in the demonstrations since the beginning of last October, and so far, in addition to disclosing the quality of gas used to disperse the demonstrators and the number of medical detachments Available in Tahrir Square.

For his part, the Minister of Health said that the number of martyrs reached (111) of the demonstrators and security forces,pointing to the formation of a ministerial committee to verify the nature of tear gas, which revealed the absence of any toxic substance in the gas, which is natural and sometimes used for training, indicating that the ministry has distributed detachments Medical in the yards of demonstrations to provide first aid to peaceful demonstrators.
