The Federal Court of Cassation said that acts against the law committed by those affiliated with the demonstrators did not constitute terrorist crimes.
A statement issued by the Supreme Judicial Council received by the Iraqi News Agency that the criminal body in the Federal Court of Cassation issued a decision on 24/11/2019, according to which acts committed by some of the accountants on the demonstrators ordinary crimes punishable by law Penalties No. 111 of 1969, according to the circumstances and evidence of each crime, which does not apply to the Anti-Terrorism Law for the absence of the criminal intent of the perpetrators of the achievement of terrorist ends as provided for in Article 1 of the Anti-Terrorism Law No. 13 of 2005.
