Popular Mobilization: Our official positions are limited to what is issued by the Media Directorate in the Commission

The Popular Mobilization Commission issued a statement on its official positions confirming its support for peaceful demonstrators demanding their legitimate rights, while stressing that its official positions are limited to what is issued by the Media Directorate in the Commission. The media on Friday quoted a statement attributed to the Popular Mobilization on the position of the Commission on the demonstrations.

The PMU would like to clarify that the official positions of the PMU are limited to what is issued by the Directorate of Information and what is published on the official website of the PMU only.

Our confirmation comes after observing the issuance of positions and statements of unknown parties linking itself to the Popular Mobilization and claiming to belong to it, taking advantage of the name of the crowd. The Commission affirms its solidarity with the peaceful demonstrators demanding their legitimate rights, while praising the performance of the security forces in the protection of demonstrators and the protection of places of demonstrations
