The Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Bassem Abdul-Zaman received on Thursday the German Ambassador to Iraq and discussed bilateral cooperation in the fields of supporting the private sector and setting up rehabilitation centers for Iraqis returning from Germany.The ministry is keen to cooperate with all relevant organizations and bodies in its work that will implement its strategy to support the segments that it sponsors, especially youth and women, Abdul Zaman said in a statement he received.
He added that the ministry is ready to cooperate with the agency and sign the memorandum of understanding after studying it and achieve a joint meeting between the Agency and the Department of Labor and Vocational Training to make observations, pointing out that the ministry attaches great importance to young people in its work and plans to eliminate unemployment and support the private sector.
In turn, the German ambassador expressed his country's desire to sign a memorandum of understanding that includes the assistance of the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) in supporting the private sector and creating job opportunities, as well as setting up a center to receive Iraqis returning from Germany to acquire skills that enable them to integrate into society and lead their lives normally.
