INA – BAGHDAD
The International Festival of Flowers kicked off in Baghdad on Monday.
Over 15 countries participated in the festival along with many companies and agriculture centres as well as other provinces of Iraq under the pretext of “Baghdad plants flowers and embrace creativity”, announced the Municipality of Baghdad.
The opening ceremony was attended by highly ranking delegations from Syria, Jordan, Egypt, Sudan, Kuwait, Bahrain, US, UK, Germany, Netherland, Turkey, Iran, Austria and Czech.
The Festival also included flower galleries, many activities of Art and Folklore in addition to contests for children.
Municipality of Baghdad pointed that this traditional annual festival is a chance to show how keen Iraq is to maintain the joy in people’s hearts and communicate regionally and internationally.
