The Foreign Relations Committee, chaired by MP Malhan al-Muktar and attended by members of the Committee on Sunday, held a meeting to discuss the activation of diplomatic work and the need to legislate important laws.
In a statement received by Aoun, the department said that the issue of the ratification of the list of ambassadors of 28 candidates previously submitted by the previous parliamentary session with the participation of a number of nominated ambassadors has been discussed.
The two sides discussed the mechanisms and criteria for the selection of ambassadors and the need to review them in such a way as to enable the activation of diplomatic work and its development, he said, referring to the committee's efforts to discuss the list of ambassadors candidates during the meeting to be held tomorrow with Foreign Minister Mohammad Ali al-Hakim.
