Mohammed Al Halbusi received on Thursday the Saudi delegation participating in the second session of the Iraqi-Saudi Coordination Council headed by Minister of Trade and Investment Majid Al-Qasabi.
According to a statement by the Information Office of the Speaker of the House of Representatives received by the Iraqi News Agency , the meeting discussed enhancing the prospects of bilateral cooperation to serve the interests of the two brotherly peoples. The meeting also reviewed the memorandums of understanding which frame bilateral cooperation in various fields between the two countries, in Iraq.
He also stressed the keenness of the Iraqi Council of Representatives to provide all legislation and laws; with the aim of developing the investment and commercial sector in a way that strengthens bilateral relations with the Saudi side. For his part, the Saudi delegation expressed his country's support for activating and strengthening the partnership in various fields between Iraq and Saudi Arabia. The delegation also expressed its great pleasure for the return of stability and safety to the country, reflecting the daily life and the recovery of the economy and investment.
