Ministry of Culture received on Wednesday a 32,000-year-old Babylonian artifact seized by the authorities at Heathrow Airport during a smuggling attempt in 2012.
Foreign Minister Mohammed Ali al-Hakim today met with the Minister of Culture Abdul-Amir al-Hamdani and his accompanying delegation to hand over a 3200-year-old Babylonian artifact that was received by the Iraqi embassy in London from the British authorities, a foreign ministry statement said. After being seized at Heathrow airport during an attempt to smuggle in 2012, "noting that" the ceremony of extradition took place with the official presence of both sides.
