Iraq: Leveraging the expertise of international companies to implement strategic projects

Chairman of the Iraqi Communications and Media Commission - CMC), Nawfal Abu Raghif, stressed on Monday the importance of leveraging the expertise of leading international companies to implement strategic projects that keep pace with global technological developments.

Abu Raghif received Tony Zhu, Technical Solutions Manager—CTO of Huawei Iraq, at the CMC headquarters in Baghdad, according to a statement from the CMC received by the Iraqi News Agency—INA. This was part of ongoing meetings with international companies specializing in communications and technology.

During the meeting, they discussed the prospects for technical cooperation between the CMC and Huawei, as well as opportunities to develop digital infrastructure in Iraq. The meeting also reviewed future projects related to digital transformation, expanding smart communications networks, and enhancing innovation in digital services.

Abu Raghif stressed, "the importance of leveraging the expertise of leading global companies, most notably Huawei, to implement strategic projects that keep pace with global technological developments, emphasizing the authority's commitment to building quality partnerships that support the sustainable development of the country's telecommunications sector."
