Prime Minister Launches Waste-to-Energy Project

Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani launched the implementation of the waste-to-energy project in Nahrawan, Baghdad, today, Thursday.
The Prime Minister's Media Office stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), "Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani launched the implementation of the (100) megawatt waste-to-energy project in the Nahrawan area, using high-efficiency incineration technology."
The statement explained that "the project is part of the government's plans to transition to renewable energy."
