Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Fuad Hussein, discussed today, Thursday, the latest preparations for the upcoming Arab Summit, while appreciating the efforts made by the technical and logistical committees and the continuous work to ensure the success of this important event.
The ministry stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Fuad Hussein, chaired today the eleventh meeting dedicated to completing the final arrangements for the upcoming Arab Summit," indicating that "the meeting witnessed the attendance of a number of ministers and high-level officials, including the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Planning, the Minister of Interior, and the Minister of Culture, in addition to the Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ahmed Nayef Rashid Al-Dulaimi, the Mayor of Baghdad, and representatives of the relevant ministries and bodies."
The ministry added that "the meeting included a comprehensive review of the latest preparations for the summit, with discussion of the items on the agenda, in addition to examining various organizational aspects, including the technical and logistical readiness of the summit venues and delegation reception centers, as well as security and media arrangements."
MOFA continued that "the meeting stressed the importance of coordinating efforts between the relevant parties to ensure that the summit is organized according to the highest standards, reflecting Iraq's status and active role in its Arab environment."
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Fuad Hussein, praised "the efforts made by the technical and logistical committees," appreciating "the continuous work to ensure the success of this important event."
