Abdul Mahdi stresses the importance of achieving gains for Iraq and its people in negotiating the water issue with neighboring countries

The Supreme National Water Committee held a meeting under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi, to check on the water situation and benefit from the water abundance to fill the dams and the file of Iraqi-Turkish relations in this field.

He stressed the importance of achieving maximum benefit from water and preserving it and seeking to achieve gains for Iraq and its people in negotiating the water issue with neighboring countries, especially Turkey, Iran and Syria, pointing to the positive attitude of the government on all neighboring countries and opening the widest opportunities for cooperation.
