Lebanese President-elect Joseph Aoun confirmed that Lebanon suffers from a governance crisis and must change its political and economic performance.
Aoun said in his speech before the Lebanese parliament, "We have reached the moment of truth and we are in a governance crisis that requires a change in political and economic performance."
He added, "If we want to build a country, we must all be under the rule of law, with no protections, favoritism, or immunities for a criminal, corrupt person, or perpetrator, and justice is the deciding factor."
