Al-Maliki and Rashid stress the importance of unifying efforts among national forces

Head of the State of Law Coalition, Nouri al-Maliki, and President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Rashid, stressed today, Tuesday, the importance of unifying efforts between the national forces.

A statement issued by the office of the head of the State of Law Coalition and received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) said: "Al-Maliki received Rashid and during the meeting, they reviewed the developments of the political and economic reality in the country.".

He added, "The importance of unifying efforts between national forces to consolidate the protection of Iraq's sovereignty and enhance its security and stability was also emphasized, especially since the region is witnessing major challenges that require cooperation and work to overcome them, stressing the need to manage political and economic affairs in accordance with the commitment to the constitutional legal context.".

According to the statement, the two sides expressed their desire to coordinate positions and approve laws that have direct contact with the citizens and laws that complete the structure of the political system, and to maintain the current stability and transform it into permanent stability.
