Al-Mandalawi: We are committed to promote unity, support rights of Iraqi people

    The First Deputy Speaker of the Parliament, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, congratulated on Wednesday, on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Jesus Christ (pbuh), stressing the commitment of the legislative authority to work to strengthen national unity and support the rights of the components of the Iraqi people.

    Al-Mandalawi said, in a statement obtained by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "We extend our best congratulations and blessings to the members of the Christian community in Iraq and the world, on the occasion of the birth of Jesus (pbuh), and we emphasize the importance of spreading the values of peace, love and coexistence in light of the conflicts and wars that threaten human existence in the region."

    He stressed "the need to reject terrorism and extremism and we warn of their danger in tearing the social fabric and undermining stability," stressing "the commitment of the legislative authority to work to strengthen national unity and support the rights of all components of our dear people, hoping that Allah will return them to Iraq, our nation and the world with security, security and stability."
