Prime Minister and Acting General of the Armed Forces, Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, directed, today, Thursday, to assign Hamid Al-Shatri to head the National Intelligence Service.
Government spokesman Bassem Al-Awadi said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), "The Prime Minister, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, directed today, Thursday, to assign Hamid Rashid Falih Al-Shatri to head the Iraqi National Intelligence Service."
He added, "This assignment comes to complete the support for the work of the service, and to serve Iraq and preserve its security and stability, and for what Al-Shatri has of experience and distinguished performance in the security field."
