The Nineveh Criminal Court issued a 10-year prison sentence to the owner of the Hamdaniya fire hall in the governorate.
According to the court's decision, which was obtained by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), "the Nineveh Criminal Court (the second body) sentenced the owner of Al-Haytham Hall, which witnessed a large fire in the Hamdaniya district and led to the death and injury of many citizens, to temporary imprisonment for 10 years."
"The court called on the plaintiffs of the personal right and the injured complainants to reserve the right to claim compensation before the civil courts,” the court added.
