The head of the Victory Coalition, Haider al-Abadi, confirmed on Monday, that the region needs three sets of initiatives.
Al-Abadi said in a tweet on the (X) platform, which was followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “The tension of the Middle East are growing and if they continue, their damage will effect all countries in the region .”
He added, "At this dangerous and critical moment, and with responsibility and experience, I affirm that there is no place for fear and the time has come for wise solutions and courageous leadership.”
He continued, "The region needs three packages of initiatives together: 1. Fair, realistic and possible settlements to solve the internal problems of more than one country, in a way that achieves the legitimacy of authority and social justice together.
2. Restoring the prestige, legitimacy and power of countries in exercising their sovereign affairs internally and externally, in the interest of their peoples at the expense of the leadership and interests of movements and parties.
3. An international obligation, through international institutions, to provide fair and possible solutions to end the conflict in the region, and to control the conflict of the uncontrol axes.
He expressed his great hope that "the flames will be contained, with the awareness of the peoples and their concern for their present and future, and with initiatives from regional and international decision-making centers keen on international security and peace."
