President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, received today, Thursday, an official invitation to attend the (One Water Summit) conference, which will be held in the Saudi capital, Riyadh.
A statement by the Presidency of the Republic received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) - said: "President of the Republic Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid received at the Baghdad Palace, the French Ambassador to Iraq Patrick Dorrell, who delivered to him the invitation signed by the Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, French President Emmanuel Macron, Kazakh President Qassym-Jomart Tokayev, and President of the World Bank Group Ajay Banga."
The statement added, "The President of the Republic expressed his thanks and gratitude for this invitation, which will be hosted by the Saudi capital, Riyadh, on December 3, on the sidelines of the sixteenth meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (COP).".
The statement explained that "this summit will bring together leaders of states, governments, local communities, development financial institutions, companies, charitable institutions, non-governmental organizations and experts from around the world to exchange experiences and search for innovative and sustainable solutions."
