The electricity minister talks about energy cooperation with a Russian delegation

    Electricity Minister Ziad Ali Fadhel discussed on Tuesday with Russian delegation cooperation in the field of energy.

    The media office of the Minister of Electricity said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Fadhel received a high-level Russian delegation headed by Alexander Novak, Russian Deputy Prime Minister, to discuss ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in the fields of energy and electricity," noting that "the minister had received the Russian delegation upon its arrival at Baghdad International Airport, the Russian delegation included prominent figures such as Sergei Tsivilev, Russia’s Minister of Energy, Pavel Sorokin, First Deputy Minister of Energy, and Mikhail Bogdanov, Russia’s Special Representative for the Middle East and North Africa and Deputy Foreign Minister, Elbrus Kutrashev, Russia's Ambassador to Iraq, and Alexander Dyukov, CEO of Gazprom Neft.

    The office explained that "the two sides discussed during the meeting opportunities for joint cooperation in the field of energy, and the contribution of Russian companies in the development of the Iraqi oil and energy sector."
