Prime Minister Mohamed Shia al-Sudani directed all official institutions and all governorates to follow up the work of the departments of citizen affairs.
According to a document issued by the Secretary-General of the Cabinet Hamid Al-Ghazi and addressed to all ministries and governorates and entities not associated with a ministry, and received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), "based on the Prime Minister's directive regarding the follow-up of the work of the departments of citizen affairs in ministries and service agencies not associated with all ministries through conducting field visits to oversee the reality of work and prepare reports on the reality of the situation of each department by forming a committee for this purpose under Diwani Order (24500) of 2024."
It added that "the recommendations and proposals of the aforementioned committee are as follows:
1- Confirming the security of communication and Internet lines in the departments of citizen affairs for all ministries.
2- Preparing furniture for the offices of Citizens Affairs in proportion to the number of employees and auditors.
3- Follow-up of the Department of Citizens Affairs in the Martyrs Foundation and the transactions of martyrs in the departments and directorates of the institution, and enable the department official to field visits to the directorates of the institution, while giving the subject great importance.
