"The alliance offered at the beginning of the meeting congratulations to Al-Mashhadani on the occasion of his assumption of the presidency of the House of Representatives, then the delegation presented their views and objections regarding the amendment of the Personal Status Law, which included legal proposals and others of a social nature."
For his part, Al-Mashhadani said: "The current law has objections from some segments of society, just as the 188 Alliance has objections to the amendments, and therefore there are differences of opinion about continuing to work on it or going to amend it."
